VitalStim Therapy
VitalStim Therapy is the only neuromuscular electrical stimulation that is cleared by the FDA to treat dysphagia. It uses small electrical currents to stimulate the muscles responsible for swallowing. At the same time, the Speech Pathologist helps patients to re-educate their muscles through rehabilitation therapy.
Treatment sessions begin with the electrodes placed on specific areas of the patient’s throat while a VitalStim certified speech pathologist performs feeding practice and other exercises which are repeated until the patient’s swallowing patterns are restored.
CompleteSpeech

This is an innovative speech therapy tool which utilizes a mouthpiece called SmartPalate. This bio-feedback technology creates a digital visualization of how your tongue functions during speech. It facilitates a clearer understanding of specific changes that need to be made in order to build better speech habits. It is successful in remediating articulation issues and particularly excels with those difficult R, L, and S sounds. It provides a fun and engaging learning environment for those with developmental disorders and those with apraxia of speech.
Respite Services
Respite Care
If you need a few hours or a day of rest from caring for a loved one, we will provide respite care for a primary caregiver. Respite care can be a healthy solution for caregivers who need intermittent rest so that you are prepared to continue caring for your loved one.
We provide non-medical respite care so that you can leave your loved one in their familiar environment. We can provide assistance with many tasks of daily living, meal preparation, social skills and simply provide you with someone to call if you have an emergent situation. Caregivers need to have a trusted source to call on, and rest is imperative to continue providing your loved one with exceptional care.
If you need a consistent schedule of respite care or would like to proactively introduce our staff to your loved one so that you have someone to call on, please feel free to call and set-up an in-home assessment.
If you have any further questions, concerns, or would like to set up a consultation; please refer to our contact page here
